Question 1

What is Granny-AI and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Granny-AI is your friendly AI companion for everyday life. You open the app, choose what you want to do — a story for the grandchildren, a letter, a memoir chapter, a pet poem, a game or simply a conversation — and Granny-AI guides you step by step. You can type or speak, and everything is read aloud to you.

Question 2

Is Granny-AI really free?

Accepted Answer

Try free for 14 days with usage limits and no credit card. Further AI use then requires a paid subscription. The trial does not automatically start a paid subscription. Standard: EUR 4.99/month or EUR 49.99/year. Premium: EUR 9.99/month or EUR 99.99/year. Both plans have usage limits. Web subscriptions are purchased and managed through Stripe.

Question 3

Which devices does Granny-AI work on?

Accepted Answer

On any modern smartphone, tablet or computer with a current browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). You can use Granny-AI directly in the browser or install it on your home screen with one click — no app store needed.

Question 4

What features does Granny-AI offer exactly?

Accepted Answer

Grandchildren stories for your grandkids, memoirs to capture your life memories, letters to family, friends and authorities, pet poems, images for your texts, chat with your AI companion, 7 Brain-Fit games for memory training and read-aloud of all content in a natural voice.

Question 5

Is the app suitable for people with visual impairments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Text can be enlarged, a high-contrast mode is available, and all content can be read aloud. Instead of typing, you can simply speak.

Question 6

How secure are my data and conversations?

Accepted Answer

Your content is transmitted encrypted and stored securely in the cloud. We do not sell data to third parties. For AI text generation, requests are forwarded to our AI providers — full details are in our privacy policy.

Question 7

Can I share Granny-AI with my family?

Accepted Answer

In the „Family“ section you create profiles of your children, grandchildren and pets — so Granny-AI can tailor stories, poems and letters personally to your loved ones. Even birthday reminders are shown automatically. Finished stories and memoirs can be downloaded as PDF or Word and shared with the family — by email, WhatsApp or printed as a gift. Note: Each account is personal; a shared login with family members is not (yet) supported.

Question 8

Which languages is Granny-AI available in?

Accepted Answer

In 9 languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic and Hebrew. The language can be changed at any time.

Question 9

Do I need technical knowledge to use it?

Accepted Answer

No. The app is intentionally designed for seniors: large buttons, clear language, no hidden menus. If you can open a browser, you can use Granny-AI.

Question 10

Does the app work offline?

Accepted Answer

Partially. Already loaded content and the Brain-Fit games remain available offline. For new AI content (new stories, letters, images, chat replies) an internet connection is required. As soon as you are back online, everything syncs automatically.

Question 11

How can I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Directly in the app under „Manage subscription“. You will be redirected to a secure customer portal where you can cancel or change your plan with one click. Monthly subscriptions end at the end of the current month, annual subscriptions at the end of the year.
